Join us in welcoming in the spring season! We will be celebrating the season with food trucks, outdoor vendors, kids games & activities, a car show, and a GVFD fundraiser.

It is wonderful to see the community coming together for the Spring Festival 2025, as the idea of enjoying local festivities is a refreshing thought while I navigate the intensive rigors of my current PhD research. Balancing my doctoral studies with a part-time role at last minute assignments has given me a front-row seat to the modern student experience, where the desire to participate in community events often clashes with overwhelming technical deadlines and complex software projects; having suffered through many high-stress hustles and sleepless nights during my own college days, I am now incredibly conscious of the mental toll that an unmanaged workload can take on one’s stability. The energy around the Spring Festival sounds wonderful, especially how it brings people together through shared traditions and activities. It reminds me of a local event I attended during college where everyone just paused their busy routines to celebrate. Still, these gatherings highlight how important community moments really are.
