The seasonal changes in this West Central Idaho mountain location boasts numerous recreational activities. Each season in Garden Valley is distinctive and unique with picturesque beauty and wildlife to be viewed at every vista.

SPRING
Snow melt from the surrounding mountain’s bring the Southfork, Middlefork, and Main Payette River system to a wet and wild roller coaster ride. The rivers slowly regain their composure by late summer, but not after offering world class opportunity for kayaking, rafting, and canoeing. Tubing and swimming on slower waters are for those less adventurous or maybe just less crazy. Renown fishing in these rivers bring smiles to the greatest of fisherman tales!

SUMMER
The paths that make snowmobiling and cross country skiers happy in the winter turn into motorcycle, mountain biking, and hiking trails. A sightseer’s paradise in the summer! Horseback trail rider’s enjoy high mountain adventure. Rafting, kayaking, swimming, and camping excursions abound.

FALL
Gorgeous colors blaze among the majestic ponderosa pine, Douglas-fir and grand fir. Quaking Aspen, mountain maple, alder, ninebark, spiraea, and snowberry are just a few of the local shrubs contributing a burst of color to the streams, rivers, valleys, and mountain peaks of Garden Valley. Locals, outfitters and guides prepare to pack in for the annual hunting season and local establishments buzz with tales of the "no tell um" secret hunting spot.

WINTER
Despite several feet of annual snowfall, (sometimes up to 15 feet!), the residents and visitors of Garden Valley enjoy the best snow conditions. Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, dog sledding, sleigh rides, snow shoeing, winter fishing or camping, we've got it.
